Are you stuck at home with your family and running out of fun things to do? Check out the idea below for a family fun idea while in quarantine!
Family fun in quarantine IS possible! My husband and I have tried to give the kids some kind of normalcy during our time at home. Each weekend of quarantine we do SOMETHING special…whether it is ordering curbside service from their favorite restaurant or taking them to Top Golf on the patio! Now two months later everyone looks forward to the weekend and what we are going to do! I hope this idea inspires you to have fun with your family while in quarantine. Stay healthy and safe Charmers!
Let’s Golf!
Our first weekend of quarantine my husband said let’s take the kids to Top Golf! They love it when we do family fun days at our local Top Golf! I reminded him that Top Golf was temporarily closed. He responded I know…let’s set up our own! I was skeptical but we told the kids we were going out…to the backyard! We set up the patio by moving some furniture, plugged in the outdoor heaters and set up Cameron’s driving range. Gary placed some hula hoops in the yard and made up up various games/challenges. That’s when all of the fun began!
We can’t go to Top Golf without ordering all of our favorite appetizers! What would a night at Top Golf be without yummy snacks?! We made lots of the kids favorite appetizers along with sliders with fries too.
We all really got into the competition! It was such a fun evening together. For a few hours we all forgot why we were in the backyard and not at Top Golf. The guys put up a hard fight but in the end the girls won! We are looking forward to our next evening of golf in the backyard soon.
What you will need:
- Golf Clubs (we just used the pitching wedge and seven iron)
- Driving Range
- Ball Tray
- Golf Balls and these too!
- Hula Hoops (pick a few up at your local toy store or Walmart/Target/etc.)
