What does surviving quarantine with kids look like for you? When all of this happened in March I did not want to be on social media or to even write on my blog. I just needed to be there for my family, figure out the daily changes, process the daily announcements, and clean…there was lots of cleaning! I was not quite sure how to act or how to react to this scary time with my followers so I decided to focus on my family’s new routine. We are all trying to find our way…this new way…at least for now.
We have had a few months now together as a family to figure out online school, working, keeping the kids entertained, we’ve even celebrated Avery’s birthday in quarantine! I am here to share what we have been busy doing these last few months. I hope it might inspire you while home surviving this time! Keep safe and stay healthy Charmers!
Weekends in Quarantine
Our first weekend in quarantine involved a lot of cleaning, laundry and just figuring out what we needed for the kids to be successful with online schooling. I remember we ran a lot of errands to get the next to last chrome book available at Best Buy, searching for toilet paper because we REALLY needed some…we were down to two rolls! Taking inventory of how much hand soap we had, bleach, white vinegar…you get the picture. It was NOT how I would normally spend my weekend with the fam that’s for sure. But I think we got most everything we needed….minus the toilet paper…but thanks to my Mom and Dad they spared us a huge package. Thanks again Mom!
Ever since that first weekend every one after has been spent doing something fun! We all seem to look forward to what we are doing on the weekend now. Even though we don’t have any ‘real’ plans we do have plans here at home with one another. Check out the posts below for fun weekends in quarantine!
