Helpful Kitchen Appliances

Instant Pot  – Such a great appliance to have for weeknight meals! A MUST HAVE if you ask me! The best time of year to purchase this lifesaver is usually Black Friday!   I began making my WildTree meals in the Instant Pot along with anything else that would fit and work in it!  It no longer mattered that I had forgotten to take the food out of the freezer! Frozen chicken breasts are done in seven minutes or less!  Hooray!  I make my own bone broth in two hours vs 10+ in the crockpot.  Soups, stews, chili are done in 20 minutes!  I still use my Instant Pot regularly and love it!  Do not be afraid of the Instant Pot it really will be your best friend for a quick dinner!

Slow Cooker – I think we all probably have or have had a crock pot at some point.  It’s nice to use year round.  I use the crock pot for a lot of the Wildtree Freezer meals and of course other slow cooker friendly recipes!

Rice Cooker – I always use a rice cooker!  The days of over or under cooking rice on the stove are over!  You simply put the rice in, add your liquid (water or broth) and press the button!  The rice is perfect every time.

Blender – A blender is another appliance I use weekly!  My kids and I LOVE smoothies!  Sometimes I will make them for lunch or as an after school snack when I know dinner will be late due to sports, etc.  I used to use a Kitchen Aid blender – I was actually on my second one – when I saw an Amazon lightening deal for the Ninja!  This blender came with both the pitcher and two individual serving cups.  I fill the cup with my smoothie ingredients the night before and in the morning add ice or a frozen banana/strawberries/blueberries  I switch lids, throw in a stainless steel straw and I am out the door!  I am so happy with my purchase of the Ninja!  It has been going strong now for over a year and I have really worked it!   I have also used it for soups – butternut squash, potato soup – yummy!  I am sure it would make a great margarita too!
