Do you love s’mores? Setting up your own DIY s’mores bar at home is so simple and sure to be a hit with your family & friends!
S’mores and summer just go together don’t they?! Setting up a DIY s’mores bar to enjoy by the fire on summer evenings is super easy to do. My family loves s’mores for dessert. We love the basics…marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers but we have been adding other ingredients to the mix to try too! With the extra fixings I needed a better way of serving them and decided to make our own s’mores bar. Now everything is easy to access so we can assemble our creations and enjoy by the fire.
What you need to make a DIY S’mores Bar:
- Three Tiered Tray! You can find these trays almost anywhere. The one pictured is from Home Goods. They have so many different options. Hobby Lobby or Michaels are other great places to look!
- S’mores Sticks! My favorite s’mores sticks are from Pampered Chef. They are easy to clean and have a storage bag too! These bamboo s’mores sticks are good too, especially if you have a lot of company. You can sometimes find them in your local grocery store or on Amazon.
- Marshmallows….duh! Homemade, store bought, extra large, regular, vegan…it doesn’t matter! Any marshmallows will do!
- Chocolate! We love to get different organic chocolate bars and break them into small squares. There are so many fun flavors. Our last s’mores bar had mint chocolate, hazelnut, dark chocolate and milk chocolate. We have had peanut butter cups too!
- Grahm Crackers! We have different flavors of graham crackers…gluten free graham crackers are our new fav! We also love to use pizzelles! Shortbread cookies, chocolate chip cookies and really any cookie is the perfect addition to your s’mores bar.
- Baby Wipes! You probably were not expecting this item were you?! Costco Baby Wipes (to be exact) are a staple in our house! They can remove the sticky of a s’more in an instant. We always have a pack nearby the s’mores bar.
- A fire! This goes without saying right?! You need a heat source to make your s’mores bar complete!
This is all you need for a perfect DIY S’mores Bar! Of course friends and family around the fire make it even more perfect!
Assemble your DIY S’mores Bar:
Now it’s time to put it all together! On the top tier arrange your chocolates! I put each flavor in its own pile. You could mix if you wish. The second tier gets all of the fluffy marshmallows! Yum! The third tier holds all of the crackers, cookies and pizzelles! We have a table near the fire pit where I set the three tier tray along with the s’mores sticks. I also have small plates, napkins and of course the baby wipes nearby!
Now it’s time to roast your marshmallows and make amazing s’mores! Try different combos and decide for yourself which is your favorite combo! My latest favorite is a roasted marshmallow with dark chocolate sandwiched between pizzelles! Yum!
